Our primary mandate is to act as the research arm of BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre and, in addition, the face of women’s health research for the Provincial Health Services Authority (PHSA).
We will encourage and support research activities designed to improve the health and health care for women throughout BC and foster a supportive and inclusive environment where investigators can unapologetically say they do women’s health research.
To achieve this mandate we will work closely with the Child and Family Research Institute and solidify our affiliation with the University of British Columbia. We will pursue and develop mutually beneficial relationships with local, national and international research institutes, universities, communities and health organizations to ensure that women’s health is both incorporated into research agendas within British Columbia and celebrated world-wide.
