| Research Projects: | Childbearing Health & Related Service Needs of Newcomers (CHARSNN) The CHARSNN project explores postpartum health & healthcare experiences of immigrant women (< 5 yrs in Canada) and their infants from refugee-source countries through comprehensive assessments and questionnaires translated into 13 languages. Canadian counterparts will also be recruited, for a total of 500 women and their infants from BC Women's postpartum units. This is a multi-site project with a national goal of 2400 women-infant(s) pairs. We are excited about the role BC Women's Hospital will play in the study, as it will make possible a Canada-wide analysis on newcomers' postpartum health care experiences among major settlement cities. |
